The clients simply needed more covered space and didn’t know what to do with their 20’ existing patio ceiling.  It didn’t provide much shade or cover from the sun or rain and they weren’t enjoying their backyard outside of the summer months when the pool was open.

We found a solution by constructing a steel patio cover with a standing seam metal roof between the first and second floor windows of the family room.  This gave them enough height on the ceiling to make it feel comfortable and not closed in.  We installed a painted tongue and groove ceiling, recessed cans, fans, and left plugs in case they wanted to install motorized screens at a later date.
